October 18, 2018

Matcha.  The powdered leaves of a green tea regarded for it’s high levels of antioxidants and much more.  Antioxidants are important in their ability to help fight the negative effects of free radicals and help protect our cells and tissues.

Matcha has been around since the 12th century, historically used in Japanese tea ceremonies.  Traditionally it’s gently dissolved in hot water to make tea or used as a flavouring.   It may also work as an effective health-promoter including:

  • enhancing cognitive function and concentration
  • giving a calming effect
  • strengthening immunity
  • boosting energy levels and endurance and
  • detoxifying the body
  • aiding in weight loss

The flavour of Matcha is quite ‘grassy’, this recipe boosts the deliciousness so the overall affects of Matcha can be really enjoyed.   Let me know what you think?
