A Cleansing, Cheeky Chia Snack

This is my ideal recipe.   5 minutes to prepare, with a spoon and bowl being all the utensils required AND it uses just 4 ingredients as a minimum.  Perfect!

I’ve written all about why I love chia seeds so much in this post here.  It’s one from the archives.  They’re a super nourishing food and when we add a more nutrient rich ingredients they transform into the ultimate kitchen medicine!    Enjoy.

Preparation: 5 minutes

Serves:  4

A Cleansing, Cheeky Chia Snack
Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 400g (1 1/2) cups coconut milk (here’s a recipe to make your own too)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
  • fresh or frozen organic berries to serve

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients (except the berries) together in a bowl.
  2. Leave to thicken and set in the fridge for at least 1 hour.  It will be even better overnight.

Notes

  • Serve with any fresh, seasonal fruit e.g. banana, mango are also great to try
  • Add some of your favourite chopped, preferably activated nuts for added protein and goodness.
