Simple Cauliflower Rice

Simple Cauliflower Rice

  • 1/2 head of cauliflower
  • 3 tbsp butter, ghee or coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp of sea salt or himalayan salt


  1. In a medium sized pot melt the butter on a low heat
  2. while melting, roughly cut the cauliflower into florets the size of a small mushroom.
  3. Place the cauliflower into a blender and blend on a medium speed for about 10 seconds or until the cauli roughly resembles rice!
  4. place in the pot with the melted butter and the salt and cook for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. serve as a delicious accompaniment to your meal.


  • depending on what I’m making, I often saute onion, garlic and/or ginger before adding the cauli.
  • or after sauteing the above, add in 1/2 tsp of turmeric or cumin for adding flavour and goodness.
