The Energiser Smoothie

Looking for a healthier way to ‘get up and go’!  Smoothies are a fantastic way to start the morning or kickstart an afternoon slump.  This is one of my favourites, full of healthy fats and protein – a great way to break the fast, replenish our cellves and energise our mornings!  Great for kids too.  Enjoy.

Preparation:  2 – 5 minutes

Serves:  1 adult or 2 children

The Energiser Smoothie
Ingredients:

  • Half a cup of frozen or fresh organic berries
  • 1 cup of fermented coconut water, coconut water, or filtered water
  • 3 tablespoons of collagen hydrolysate as a protein base
  • 3 organic, pasture fed egg yolks
  • One tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 Tbsp of raw cacao powder
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender
  2. Blend and enjoy!

Note

  • Replace the chia seeds with 1 Tbsp of a nut butter and/or organic ghee for more good fats and protein.
  • Add in 1 tsp of gubinge powder (a.k.a. kakadu plum or billy goat plum) for an immunity boost of Vitamin C.
