Asian style dressing or vinaigrette perfect with fish and chicken

I love having dressings, sauces and different condiments on hand.  They’re a perfect way to add interest and deliciousness to a simple meal e.g. fish or chicken with steamed vegetables and rice or cauliflower rice if you like.

This Asian Style dressing is the best.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Asian Style Dressing or Vinaigrette
Preparation:  5 minutes

Quantity:  approximately 1/2 cup

Dressing ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce (optional or a pinch of cayenne pepper)
  • approx. 3cm fresh ginger, grated finely
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice (or lemon)
  • 1 Tbsp tamari
  • 1 Tbsp fish sauce
  • approx. 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • 2 spring onions finely chopped

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a small jar with a lid or a bowl.
  2. Place the lid onto the jar and give a good shake or if using a bowl, whisk all ingredients in the bowl well.
  3. Serve with your favourite asian style dish e.g. it’s wonderful over steamed fish or baked chicken with rice or cauliflower rice and sautéed or steamed greens.  Enjoy!
